Hormones are chemical messengers that are produced by glands/organs which collectively make the endocrine system. Hormones act on other organs called target organs.

They regulate a few processes like growth, metabolism and fertility. They also influence immunity and physical and behavioral traits of a person.

If you are eating untimely meals, using plastics that contain xenoestrogens and phytoestrogens, living in an improper environment, have unhealthy food habits, not physically active, you might be prone to hormonal imbalance.
